DARTS Operation
The DARTS filtering algorithm uses a system of weighted averages.
Each second, a bearing is computed from the RDF data over the course of that second, and a level of “confidence” in that bearing is generated based on the level of noise.
As time progresses time units in the distant past are filtered into yet larger time units. Thus recent data is very high resolution, while older data is reduced in resolution. This keeps the total amount of data manageable over a long period of time.
